Staying on Schedule!

What a crazy week last week was! 5 full days of taking care of 20 kiddos is proving to be exhausting! I never, ever get sick, nor have I really taken a sick day in almost 3 years. However, now since I work in a petri dish, I’ll be getting sick more often. I woke up on Thursday morning at 2:30 with a throat made of sandpaper. I texted my new boss to ask her opinion on what I should do about coming in (the lead teacher was out, for the last 2 days, with pink eye AND it was only my first week!). She asked if I could come in from at least 8-10, until the 10 o’clock person showed up to help. The rule for the 3 and 4 year olds is 10 kids to every 1 adult. In a classroom of 20 kids, there always needs to be at least 2 adults, but we always have 3.

With starting my new job and trying to get used the new schedule, meal planning failed for last week and so did my gym schedule on account of me getting sick. This week, I’m planning on having a much better week!

Our meal plan is as follows:

Breakfast:
M-F: banana, English muffin, jelly, green tea

Snack:
M-F: granola bar

Lunch:
M-F: applesauce, panko breaded chicken, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, snap pea chrisps
